EPL: Fulham FC Boss Explains Why Aina Was Substituted By Sampson Adedeji Manager of the English Premier League side Fulham FC, Scott Parker, has explained reason he replaced Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Ola Aina, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Aina joined Fulham last summer on loan from the Italia Serie A side Torino and he has been outstanding for the club. The Cottagers on Sunday held London rival Crystal Palace to a goalless draw but surprising Nigeria international defender was subbed off in the 46th minute for Aintone Robinson. At the post match conference, Parker said Aina was substituted for a tactical reason. “I just thought we needed a little bit more down that right side and I thought it worked,” he said. “It was nothing to do with Ola but Antoinee just gave us that little bit more going forward," he said. Fulham remained three points adrift of Premier League safety, face a daunting run of fixtures against Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City in their next three matches.
