EPL: Fulham FC Unlikely To Keep Ola Aina
By Sampson Adedeji
Following the London club relegation to the Championship from the Premier League, Fulham FC is unlikely to agree a permanent deal with Italia Serie A side Torino, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigeria international joined the Whites last summer from Torino on loan and despite being relegated Aina was able to contribute his quota to the team.
Fulham had a buying option over the fullback, it’s ‘unlikely’ they’d trigger the clause after relegation.
They recall that the Cottagers already paid €2.5m for the loan, and would now have to spend €12.5m to sign the player on a permanent deal.
Aina made 32 appearances for Fulham this season, being used as a left-back, central defender and right-back.
That could have been enough to prove his importance to the club, but with a new budget for the Championship season ahead, they may likely have a second thought.
