The profile of Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi continue to soar in the English Premier league as Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers heaped praises on him, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Ndidi, no doubt has contributed immensely to the great performance of Leicester City this season but not many football followers noticed due to his role as defensive midfielder, doing the 'dirty work'. However, Brendan Rodgers is one of the few people who took note of his contribution and wasted no time in praising his player.

Surprisingly, Leicester City is placed third on English Premier League two points adrift champions, Manchester City and same points (20) with Chelsea but have a superior goals difference over the London club.

As the team is getting ready to continue its impressive performance in the league this weekend, Rodgers took his time during a press conference to hail the midfielder.

"He is an incredible player. He can smell danger… So, when you play that pressing game you need someone that can do that, and he’s amazing," he stated.

Ndidi is expected to be in action on Saturday when Leicester city take on Crystal Palace in the match day 11 of the league.
