EPL: Iheanacho bags assist as Leicester City tame Leeds United 1-0

EPL:
Kelechi Iheanacho provided an assist as Leicester City defeat Leeds United in Saturday’s Premier League game. Iheanacho replaced Jamie Vardy in the 61st minute of the keenly contested encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports. His international teammates, Wilfred Ndidi and Ademola Lookman also featured in the game.
Ndidi was walking a disciplinary tightrope after he was yellow carded for a lunge on Daniel James in the 53rd minute so Brendan Rodgers cannot be faulted for taking off the holding midfielder, especially after he escaped another yellow for a challenge on same player.
Lookman took the place of Hamza Choudhury a minute after the hour mark.
In the second stanza, Iheanacho showed his brilliance just seven minutes after his introduction, as he provided a beautiful assist for Barnes’ strike, which gave Leicester a one-goal lead. After the goal, Leicester City kept it tight at the back to see out the 1-0 win. Ndidi had an 87 percent pass accuracy, two interceptions, and one clearance. Leicester move up to 11th in the Premier League table after a third straight win. Leeds sit just two points above the drop zone having played more games than all the sides around.
