EPL: Rodgers Heaps Praises On Iheanacho By Sampson Adedeji Following his outstanding outing against Ukrainian side, Zorya Luhansk, Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers, has heaped praises on Nigeria's Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, over his sublime performance, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The former Manchester City forward was the star man on Thursday night as Foxes walloped Zorya 3-0 in the opening group match of UEFA Europa League match. He assisted in the opening two goals before scoring the third one himself to give Leicester City maximum points in the match. As the team get ready to face Arsenal in premier league match on Sunday, Rodgers during press conference praise Iheanacho and hope he continue to deliver for the club. “He gives everything, Kelechi. He’s a great player for our squad. You see when he comes into the game, he gives his all. He could have been a bit more precise with one or two passes; the one where James got in, he could have played it a little earlier, but he has the extra touch. And there were a couple of other moments. "But he doesn’t get disappointed. He keeps going, and his finish was fantastic. He’s under pressure, spins out of it and shoots off his right foot. He gave everything to the game and deserved his goal," he said. If Jamie Vardy failed to recover in time for Arsenal match on Sunday, Iheanacho may be saddled with the responsibility of leading the attack once again.
