EPL: Rodgers Reiterates Confidence in Ndidi
By Sampson Adedeji
Ahead of the Match-day 2 of the English Premier League, Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers, has reiterated confidence in the ability of Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The former Genk of Belgium player was drafted to the centre back position in their Match-day One clash against West Bromwich Albion and did not disappoint.
And against Burnley on Sunday, Rodgers has talked glowingly about the performance of Ndidi but said the player will not stay too long in the position.
"Wilf is a player I have real confidence in. He played the position very well. He’s got the attributes to play there.
He’s one of the best defensive midfield players, but stepping back, I thought he did very well. We don’t want him to be there for a long period of time. But I have trust in him to give his all", Rodgers said.
The 2016 EPL champions will host Burnley on Sunday at the King Power stadium.
