Etebo Eyes Bundesliga
By Sampson Adedeji
Nigeria's Super Eagles and Getafe midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has said that he hope to play in the German Bundesliga in np distant future.
Former Warri Wolves player joined English championship side Stoke city before Russia 2018 World Cup and injury hampered his progress at the Britannia stadium, BSN Reports.
He moved to Spanish side Getafe on loan during January transfer and has been outstanding with the team.
He discuss his future while discussing with Punch and further said he won't mind stay with the Spanish side beyond end of the season.
“I love the Bundesliga. To be fair I didn’t think about the Italian League.
“Since I arrived here (Getafe), it has been fun and I love the challenge here.
I don’t mind staying here permanently. We are in a good position and also closer to playing in Europe next season if all go according to plan.
I had a chance to join Getafe last summer but the Sports Director at Stoke wanted me to stay at the club for another season.
However, after the Africa Cup of Nations, I wasn’t playing and it was difficult to accept that at that time.
So when Getafe renewed interest, I insisted that I wanted to leave and my wish was granted," he stated.
