Etebo's Club Coach sacked

After a not too impressive performance in the ongoing season in the English Championship, the Management of Stoke City has decided to part ways with their coach Gary Rowett.

Rowett who was appointed in May was in charge for 29 games and recorded just 9 wins in 26 league matches.

The club confirmed the coach sack via its social media handle on Tuesday afternoon.

" Stoke City have terminated the contract of manager Gary Rowett.

Members of his immediate coaching staff have also left the bet365 Stadium.

The Club would like to thank Gary and his staff for their efforts over the past eight months.

A new managerial appointment will be made as swiftly as possible but in the meantime Rory Delap, Kevin Russell and Andy Quy will take charge of first-team affairs.

The Potters which was picked by the bookmakers for promotion early in the season are languishing on 14th position.

Etebo joined Stoke last summer from the Portuguese side CD Feirense and has become an integra part of the team.
