By Niyi Busari
Former Super Eagles star, Etim Esin has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to allow the elected chairman of Delta state Football Association, Edema Fuludu concentrate and complete his tenure before bringing anyone to take over from him, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
African Maradona as Esin is popularly known, frowned at some NFF chieftains action, saying that their actions to unseat the duly elected chairman of the Delta state FA, Edema Fuludu and impose someone on the state to satisfy their selfish will only do more bad than good to Nigeria football.
Speaking with www.bsnsports.com.ng, Etim Esin said:
"Edema Fuludu the Delta State Football Association Chairman, is my colleague an ex-international and assumed office after Jay-Jay Okocha and because he is ex-international they want to remove him through the back door and use politics to put somebody there.
"He is duly elected and should be allowed to run the affair of the Association.
He urged the NFF to allow Fuludu has a free ride the way Patrick Pascal an ex-international and Bauchi state FA chairman is running the state football affair without external forces.
"If Patrick Pascal another ex-international who is Chairman, Bauchi State FA is not having problem with the NFF, they should allow Fuludu to face his job instead of distracting him because of their own interest.
He asked the federation what they wanted from ex-internationals
"They said ex-internationals are jobless and always run to the NFF for help whenever they are in trouble and now that he contested and won the chairmanship position of the Delta State FA, they want to remove him.
"What else do you want from the ex-international?
