Former Cameroon skipper Samuel Eto’o will contest the next presidential election for the Cameroon Football Association (FECAFOOT), BSNsports.com.ng can report.
This was confirmed by the African legend himself following his successful submission to run for the presidency.
Eto’o said he’s planning to help reform FECAFOOT and take football to the next level should he eventually win the presidential election.
"Today, I have officially submitted my candidacy for the upcoming Fecafoot elections. I am honoured to be able to do so, and I hope that I can help reform the federation and take our beloved sport to the next level," he said.
The former Barcelona, Chelsea striker, is hoping to replace Seydou Mbombouo Njoya who has been acting as FECAFOOT president since December 2018.
