Nigeria duo Victor Moses and Kelechi Iheanacho bagged a brace of assist for their teams as Leicester outsmart Spartak Moscow 4-3 in their Europa League clash on Wednesday evening, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Spartak Moscow host Leicester City at the Otkritie Arena during the match day three encounter of the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League and it was a cracker of a game.
Aleksandr Sobolev gave Spartak the lead in the 11th minute coming off Bakaev's assist.
Victor Moses then assisted Larsson in 44th minute as Spartak Moscow raced to a two goal lead but his compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho ensured the deficit was reduced going into the break as he assisted Patson Daka for Leicester's first at the death of the first half.
Kelechi Iheanacho then ensured Leicester got back fast into the game early in the second half has he yet again assisted Patson Daka's second of the evening.
Patson Daka put Leicester City ahead for the first on the evening with his hat-trick of the game coming off Youri Tielesman's asisst and in the 54th minute, Patson Daka scored his fourth of the evening via James Maddison's assist.
Victor Moses gave Leicester City a lifeline in the 86th minute when he assisted Aleksandr Sobolev for his brace of the evening but Leicester held on till the end for their first win of the campaign.
The win put Leicester above Spartak Moscow into 2nd position on four points, one more than their rival on the evening, and two behind Group C leader, Legia Warsaw who will visit Napoli on Thursday.
