Europa League: Mikel storms Czech Rep with Trabzonspor

Contrary to reports going around that former Super Eagles midfielder and captain John Mikel Obi will miss the Trabzonspor UEFA Europa League 3rd qualifying round match against Sparta Prague, the player was among the players that arrived Czech Republic for the match.

BSN Sports report that Trabzonspor will face Sparta Prague in the first leg qualifying round of the Europa league on Thursday with first leg scheduled for Letna Arena in Prague.

Mikel who joined the Turkish club in June was alongside another Nigeria striker Anthony Nwakaeme was among the players that arrived venue of the match on Wednesday morning.

Former Chelsea midfielder is not new to the competition as he played an active role when Blues emerged the European champion in 2013.

The third Nigeria in the team Ogenyi Onazi is still recuperating from the injury he sustained last season.
