Europa League: Super Eagles Defender Scores Own Goal In Rangers Draw Against Lyon Sampson Adedeji Scottish champions, Glasgow Rangers continued its impressive run in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night as they held Olympique Lyon to a draw, BSNsports.com.ng can report. Since the start of the competition Rangers have been in a splendid form in the domestic league. In Thursday's UEFA Europa Cup in France two Super Eagles players; defender Calvin Bassey and midfielder Joe Aribo were in action. Bassey started the game as the centre back while Aribo started the game on the bench. Wright opened the scoring for the Gers but Lyon netted an equaliser through an own from Bassey in the 49th minute. The game ended in a 1-1 draw but enough to qualify Rangers for the next round of the competition as one of the seeded teams for the draw.
