European League Update: Chukwueze To Face Ramon Azeez As Awaziem, Omeruo Struggle To Save Leganes From Relegation

José Mourinho and his squad host the team he last coached in his spirited effort to qualify Spurs for next season's Champions League after crashing out in the Round of 16 to German side RB Leipzig.

Mourinho will be boosted by the return of Harry Kane from injury layoff but will not have Dele Alli, who is suspended, in action.

Unlike Tottenham, who had a difficult period before the Covid-19 break losing five of their six matches in all competitions, United had an impressive run winning eight of 11 matches since a home defeat to Aston Villa on February 16. Within that period, Ole Gunnar Solskjær led his team to beat Manchester City twice (including one in their League Cup semifinal aggregate defeat) as well as victory over Chelsea.

United will break into the top four if they achieve a double over Spurs, who they beat 2-1 in the first leg.

In the earlier fixture, bottom placed Norwich City will seek to improve their fortunes by going for maximum points against Soton, who triumphed 2-1 in the first meeting.

2019/20 English Premier League (Week 30): Norwich City v Southampton (6pm), Tottenham v Manchester United (8:15pm)

Log leaders Barcelona go up against third placed Sevilla, who dropped points away to Levante on Monday as against the Catalans who have claimed maximum points in their two games.

Barcelona smashed Sevilla 4-0 at Camp Nou when both sides first met this season.

Samuel Chukwueze may face his compatriot Ramon Azeez as Villarreal explore top four finish at Granada.

Villarreal are five points behind fourth placed Atlético Madrid and look likely for a Europa League ticket at the least, while Granada are safe in the middle of the table.

The reverse fixture was an eight-goal thriller with honours shared. Chukwueze scored a goal-of-the-season contender in that Matchday 1 encounter, while Azeez played the last 21 minutes.

The efforts of central defensive pair Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem to save Leganés from going down are not yielding the dividends. Two defeats since the season resumed have them still placed at the foot of the table. They are however guaranteed to move up, but only if they beat hosts Mallorca this evening.

Leganés won the first leg by a lone goal.

2019/20 Spanish LaLiga (Week 30):

Granada v Villarreal,

Mallorca v CD Leganés (both 6:30pm);

Sevilla v Barcelona (9pm)
