Everton 2-2 Spurs: Kane bags a brace to earn Mourinho and co. a point

At Goodison Park, Harry Kane scored twice to balance out Gylfi Sigurdsson's two goals and give Tottenham a point against fellow top-four chasers Everton. Kane was at his clinical best, capitalizing on two Everton defensive errors to bring Spurs ahead in the first half and equalize in the second. Between Kane's goals, Sigurdsson equalized from the spot and gave Everton the lead by completing a fine team goal. He expertly directed in a left-footed strike from Seamus Coleman's cross, but that was just the outset for Spurs, as Kane equalized six minutes later. However, there were some worrying moments in stoppage time, with Kane limping away from an uncomfortable landing and needing to be replaced. Everton pressed for a winner and had the best opportunity, but Hugo Lloris saved Joshua King's effort, and Richarlison shot the rebound over from 12 yards.

What the result means:

Realistically, a draw benefited neither side, as Tottenham remained in seventh position, five points behind fourth-placed West Ham, and Everton remained a point and a place behind.
