Everybody Will Have To Sacrifice For Nigeria Football - Agali

By Sampson Adedeji

Former OGC Nice frontman Victor Okechukwu Agali has urged every members of the Nigeria's Super Eagles and technical crew to be ready to sacrifice for the growth of the game.

In recent time, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has stated that both Nigeria's Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr and the players will henceforth be getting their salary and bonuses in naira, BSN Reports.

While speaking to BSN Agali said both the federation, technical crew and players will bear the brunt because it won't be easy going by the position of naira to dollar presently.

"There is always bonus issues and problem, with players and coaches and with current situation now, by God Grace we will get out of this pandemic and after it there will be economy problem with every football federations.

And it will be a difficult time, coming up with this now, the players to get their money in Naija and the coaches to be paid in naira, it will be tough but is going to take a little bit of understanding from both side and I hope they could really bridged that gap.

This is going to be another distractions again for the team and the coaching crew, so i really hope they would agree.

I can't decide for the players or the coaches but I know is not going to be favourable for them because this is not what they want to do but is a situation at hand now and is just kind of sacrifice.

I know it will be difficult but I know how we have to wait to get our bonus and if you consider the position of Maura to dollar now, I don't think it will favour the federation to pay in naira, neither it will favour the players and the coaches.

But it's for them to bridged the gap now because what is at stake for them now is how our football and we have to put aside our personal interest aside and see how we can manage the situation, so it will not derail our course," he stated.
