Ex-Eagles Coordinator, Emmanuel Attah Donates Trophies, Cash To SWAN

Former Super Eagles Coordinator, Emmanuel Attah on Wednesday donated two trophies and cash for Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) FCT Chapter to revive the moribund SWAN week football competition.
SWAN Week Competition which always comes up in December has suffered neglect from the immediate past SWAN Executives. This, attracted Attah's attention with which made him to donate trophies and cash to encourage the EXCO in reviving the competition.
Attah while delivering the trophies to SWAN said, he was unhappy that the competition he was once a participant is gradually dying. He added that he participated as a coach in the competition when he was working with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
He said, "I could remember vividly when I led Daily Times as a coach during the SWAN Week Competition in Abuja. It was all fun being around journalists competing for a title.
He added, "I was shocked when I did not hear about the competition again and that was why I am pushed to donate these trophies for the tournament to come back to live.
Reacting to the gesture, elated Chairman FCT SWAN, Comrade Bunmi Haruna thanked Attah for the kind agesture and support, he said that he should not hesitate to call on the Association assuring him of SWAN support for him and his office whenever need arises. He promised that the football competition which will kick off in December will be a continuous tourney even after he leaves office.
