This was revealed by a close source to the 2015 U-17 FIFA World Cup winner. Chukwueze’s inclusion in the first team for their pre-season tour is as a result of his impressive performances for Villareal’s youth sides. The 19-year-old started the season with Villareal’s U-19 team and also played for the team C, but after an impressive campaign which saw him net seven goals playing from the wings including an hat-trick in a 8-3 win over UCD Murcia, the club promoted him to the team B. The former Diamond Academy player continued his goal scoring form for the team B in their run to the Segunda play-off final which they lost to Elche.
