Ex-Eaglets First Choice Goalkeeper Joins Spanish Team

First choice goalkeeper for the Nigerian team at the U-17 world cup hosted by Chile in 2015, Akpan David Udoh has joined Almagro C.F.

Almagro C.F., who ply their trade in the 4th tier of Spanish football announced his signing on their social media handle with an inscription "bienviendo Akpan David Udoh"

20 year old Akpan David played along side Victor Osihmen, Samuel Chukweze and Kelechi Nwakali in the victorious 2015 team that went on to win the U-17 world cup.

Udoh was discoverd from a football talent hunt programme organised by wife of the Former Ogun State Governor , Mrs. Olufunso Amosun.

Udoh caught the eyes of spectators in Udinese where he went on a training camp with UPLIFT Football Team in 2013.

The UPLIFT team was sponsored to the training by Mrs. Olufunso Amosun.

Udoh, was one of the 22 young footballers discovered from the training camp in Italy.

Udoh who previously played for B.sakhnin U-19 in isreal has been without a club since 2018.

Almagro C.F sits on the 16th position before the spanish 4th tier league was canceled due to the corona virus pandemic.
