Excellent Chukwueze bags four assist, as Villareal defeat Dinamo Zagreb 2-1; set up semi final clash with Arsenal

Nigeria forward Samuel Chukwueze bagged his third Europa League assist of the 2020/21 campaign and fourth overall in 18 appearances as Villarreal completed the double over Dinamo Zagreb, winning 2-1 at the Estadio de la Cerámica to qualify for the semi-final of the competition on 3-1 aggregate, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Super Eagles star who made his 13th start in the competition provided the assist for Paco Alcacer on 36 minutes to put Villarreal ahead before Gerard Moreno doubled the advantage seven minutes later as the Yellow Submarine led 2-0 going into the interval. The visitors pulled a goal back on 74 minutes through Osic but it was too little, too late as the Spanish side set up a tantalising semi-final clash against Arsenal, the former club of their coach, Unai Emery. Chukwueze has scored twice in the competition and this term, the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner has scored just twice and provided seven assists in 34 games in all competitions. He scored once in the LaLiga and bagged three assists, same feat he replicated in Europe, scoring once and providing three assists. He has just one assist in the only Copa Del Rey game he featured in this term.
