Edo 2020: President Buhari To Receive Unity Torch on Thursday

President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday receive the Unity Torch at the Presidential Villa, BSNSports.com.ng can reveal.
This was contained in a letter made available to BSN Sports on Monday. According to the letter, the torch will arrive Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday and will be handed to the Nigeria president after which it will
leave for Plateau State on Friday before being received back in FCT by the FCT Minister, Muhammad Bello and Director, FCT Sports Department, Chief Mrs Dilichukwu Onyendinma.
Speaking with BSN Sports on the arrival of the Unity Torch, Dilichukwu said: "The Unity Torch will get to presidential villa on Thursday 30th January 2020, and will be received by the president (Muhammadu Buhari) at the state house, and then it will start with North Central States starting from Plateau which is our headquarters in the North Central on Friday, then it would arrive FCT on Monday.
The movement of the Torch continues from Abuja to Niger, kwara, Kogi to Markudi, Benue state and then to Lafia the capital of Nasarawa state to other states, until the movement covers the 36 states and back to Edo state, the hosts of the 2020 National Sports Festival.
Unity Torch signifies that sports unites Nigerians and the movement across the country creates awareness of the biennial National Sports Festival.
