Cypriot Women football club Chrysomilia Ladies FC on Friday confirmed the signing of Margaret Etim Okon from Apollon Ladies FC on a season loan deal. The Chrysomilia Ladies FC announced the move in a statement on their official website on Friday:
The Board of Directors of APO Chrysomilia announces the agreement to join our team, footballers Margaret Etim and Juliet Nalukenge. Margaret Etim is 21 years old and member of Nigeria women's National team and Juliet Nalukenge is 18 years of age and member of Uganda Junior National team. The two football players join our team with Apollon Ladies promise. Warm thanks to the management of Apollon Ladies and personally President Andreas Maragos for the cooperation. Welcome Margaret and Juliet! We wish you all the best.
In an exclusive interview with BSNSports from the new club training ground, Margaret said the move was a golden chance to play week in week out. Margaret said: “Coming here is good for me and my family. The former Rivers Angels star is confident that she would make a success of the loan move. “By God’s grace I will give it my best shot and I know I will succeed here with the new club, let’s take it one step at a time,” she concluded.
