Expect Better Performance From Athletes - Onyali Assures Nigerians

After Nigeria's relay team on a US tour impressive performance at their competition, special adviser to the Minister of Sport and Olympic bronze medalist, Mary Onyali has told Nigerians to expect more from the team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigerian representatives at the 4*400 metres mixed relays powered to an exciting finish to win in 3:18.53s at the PVAMU Invitational in Texas on Wednesday. A time record which takes them from 18th on the world ranking to 10th in the world.
The Commonwealth gold medalist who is part of the ministry's team to the tour in the US, expressed delight after the feat stated that Nigeria will achieve more as the team move to Dallas Texas for the next competition.
"Team Nigeria did it - 4 by 4 mixed relays. We are now top ten in the world in the 4 by 4 men and women mixed relays. This is our first race in the United States and we won it and we are now ranked top ten in the world. From 18th place, we are back on top. This is just the first race upon our arrival and training in the United States.
"Next up is Dallas Texas on the 18th, expect better," The Track Queen enthused.
The teams are on a USA tour where they will participate in some competitions which afford the opportunity to secure tickets for the Olympics game holding in July.
