Coach Aderenle Moses of Abia Warriors rallied round with his boys to secure a win and 4 points for his team in the on going south east south south preseason tournament in Ebonyi. Abia Warriors defeated Cynosure FC by 2 goals to nothing in a match they were condemned to win having drawn their first match against Heartland FC. "We played against a purposeful youthful side but experience made the difference for my team" Coach Aderenle told the media. He further stated that he is okay with his players and the standard of play. The recently promoted coach hopes to try more new players as the tournament progresses. Nwuju Stanley and Asiegbu Shedrack had sealed the match for Abia Warriors in the 9th and 88 minutes. In a opposite reaction Coach Ayeni of Cynosure FC called for the referees to be firm in decision making and attributed ill luck to the scoreline especially as his boys lost so much begging chances. Abia Warriors has 4 points while Cynosure is consoled with 3 points having won their first match against Ebonyi professionals on Sunday. Rivers United also booked a semi final slot after defeating Patriot FC of Enugu by a lone goal with Ali chiwendu as the goal scorer. The final match for the day produced a barren draw between Heartland FC and Ebonyi professionals. A second draw for the owerri based team.
