Eze, Palace Set New EPL Record

By Emediong Silver

Manchester United on Saturday lost to a more determined Crystal Palace in the Match-day 2 of the English Premier League at the Old Trafford. The Eagles set a new club record of winning their opening two Premier League games of the season for the first time in their history.

Palace's Andy Townsend and Wilfred Zaha ran riot over the Red Devils. The game also had Nigerian-born Eberechi Eze coming in the second half to help Crystal Palace stay in the game. Although he did not really have the luxury of time to impact the game as he would have loved, but playing against the 20-times Premier League Champions should be a dream come through for Eze.

On the other end, Odion Ighalo failed to help Manchester United win their first match of the season. Dutch international, Donny Van De Beek came on to score on his debut.
Crystal Palace's ambition this season will surely be to at least to qualify for Europe. With the abundance of talents in the squad and with consistency, the eagles can fly.
