Failed Pinnick's Plan To Stop Flying Eagles From Honouring World Cup Qualifier Exposed By Niyi Busari Top Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) staff, Tunde Aderibigbe has uncovered the federation's president, Amaju Pinnick plan to stop the Nigeria U20 national team, Flying Eagles from honouring the World Cup qualifying match against Mauritania, BSNSports.com.ng can report. The Head of Protocol of the NFF, Tunde added that his problem with Amaju started because he facilitated traveling process of the Nigeria Flying Eagles to honour the 2019 World Cup qualifiers against Mauritania in 2018. Aderibigbe said he's paying for being a patriotic Nigerian as the Federation failed to pay his salaries since 2018 shortly after the team had qualified, beating Mauritania 5-0 in Lagos after a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Mauritania. "When it was two days to the FIFA U20 World Cup qualifying match between Nigeria and Mauritania, Christopher Giwa who was in charge of the NFF at the time met with the federation's Head of Competition (rtd) Bola Oyeyode and myself to help found solution to the traveling arrangements of the team." Aderibigbe recalled. The team had one day left to find their way out of Nigeria to honour the match or lose the three points on work over as all hopes seemed lost on traveling arrangements. "Then, I had to connect Giwa with the owner of Yone Travels, Mrs. Ogunye who was in charge of Nigeria National teams traveling arrangements. And after conversation with her, Giwa was able to convince the woman that the money for traveling processes will be paid after two days. Fortunately, for the team and Nigeria, the traveling arrangements were completed successfully. Tunde was connected with Yone Travels staff, Layi, who worked together over the night to book the players and officials' flight tickets to Mauritania. The protocol officer was busy throughout the night and in the morning while Flying Eagles were on transit to Airport, he was busy sending air tickets of the players and officials to Ali Cairo who was the Team Secretary. The team however,  travelled on Ivory Coast Airlines to Mauritania. "After the 1-1 draw in Mauritania, Pinnick called Mrs. Ogunye accusing her of betraying him because he had told her not to facilitate the traveling. She alleged the federation of owing her company N300 million. "Who will pay me the Three Hundred Million naira (N300 million) that had accumulated over the years if this man (Giwa) come stay as the president? She asked. This is about the sustainability of my business and has nothing to do with sentiment." The woman angrily answered the FIFA Council Member. "If the team fail to travel, who suffers? She asked rhetorically. Nigeria qualified for the FIFA U20 World Cup and Amaju Pinnick took the glory for the qualification after he returned back to the office as the NFF president. Meanwhile, Tunde Aderibigbe who helped in facilitating the traveling processes has been going through a lot of victimization in the hand of the Federation who held on to his salaries since 2018. When contacted through several mediums, the two-time NFF president, Amaju Pinnick failed to respond to the allegations.
