...They have improve on their level of intelligence...Danjuma By Niyi Busari Nigeria's U-20 women national team coach, Christopher Danjuma has said that an average European player is better than his or her African counterparts because of their level of intelligence whenever they are on and off the ball on the pitch. He admitted that an average African player is good, sharp, skillful and strong but their intelligence level cannot be compared to their European counterparts. Taking note of the lapses, he has been putting everything into the Falconets training so that the players can improve on their intelligence level on off the ball. And according to him, the girls have improved with their level of brilliance and acquiring intelligence. He believed Nigeria's U-20 women will spring surprises if they can replicate all they have been taught on the field at the world cup in August this year. "An average African player is skillful, sharp and strong but they need to up the level of their intelligence. And that is what we are doing, not just playing. With this, the girls are improving in their brilliance and with the level of their intelligence, if they can repeat same on the field during their matches, I believe Nigeria will come back with good results." Reacting to whether is his team is ready for the world cup, he said: "We have collated information on why our previous national women team can not go beyond a certain level, we have harnessed and impact them on our players." "I placed a team based on progression, those who watched our qualifiers, every match brought in a better off than the previous game we played and that is how we are going to play in the world cup." He concluded.
