Disappointed Nigeria football fans at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium prevented the Super Eagles players from leaving the match venue after disappointing 4-4 scoreline in the Nigeria versus Sierra Leone match-day 3 CAF African Nations Cup qualifier BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The Super Eagles had scored four goals in the first half only to lose the four goals to Sierra Leone in the second half.
Fans who were at the stadium were not happy for preventing them from entering the stadium, but stayed back as Nigeria were leading 4-0 only to be shocked when the Sierra Leoneans leveled up.
The fans we gathered, booed the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki chanting 4+4=1 (that is, his second term in office could only produce one point for Nigeria) after the match when he was leaving the stadium.
Despite the draw, Nigeria is still topping the group table with 7 points from three games and will have to redeem its battered image next Tuesday in Freetown in the match-day 4 of the tournament against Sierra Leone.
