Favour Ofili Closes Her Freshman's Year With A Fourth Place Finish

Nigeria's student athlete, Favour Ofili of the LSU finished fourth at the women's 200 metres event at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Ofili clocked a time of 22.45s (+0.2) to match, just edged out by Anavia Battle for third by three hundredths of a second. Cambrea Sturgis completed the sprint double by winning the event in a big Personal Best (PB) of 22.12s ahead of Tamara Clark in 22.17s.
Favour Ofili had qualified for the women's 200m final after clocking a smooth 22.59s (-0.5) to finish second in her heat which was won by Anavia Battle in 22.50s, the fastest qualifying time.
It will be recalled that the young athlete clocked a time of 22.30s last month which was number four on the U-20 world list.
She will be aiming to improve on these feats as she progresses in her school.
