FC Ifeanyi Ubah head coach believes that his side is a work in progress

By Abidoye Babatunde

Nigeria Professional Football Club Ifeanyi Ubah head coach Uche Okagbue has spoken about the continuous growth of the team as they progress in the league, BSNSports reports.

Okagbue believes that Ifeanyi Ubah is a work in progress and in recruiting young players, he hopes he could achieve great things and be able to challenge for the title.

"I recruited bulk of these boys from open screening that I conducted in Nnewi," he
said.

"My team is still work in progress, we recruited young players that are hungry to play from amateur clubs after losing 90% of our players this year."

"Though we are not carried away with our performance, instead we will continue to
work harder to get points home and away matches by the special grace of God."

"The boys are hungry to make name for themselves and I told them the importance
of playing at this level."

"We will keep working on our part as technical crews. Five matches without conceding a goal is good for our confidence, yet to lose any match, the team have 11 points from 15 points. We can only get better as a team."

Uche Okagbue concluded by saying: "we don’t want to look at the table now but we want to keep picking points both home and away."

FC Ifeanyi Ubah will play against Abia Warriors in the next league game on Sunday, February 3.
