  FCT Coaches Association Honours Ex-FCT Sports Department Boss With Award By Niyi Busari The Federal Capital Territory Coaches Association on Friday hounoured former Director of FCT Sports Department, Chief Mrs. Dilichuwku Onyendinma with Merit Award. The event which kicked off with two matches; first was a women football game and also men game between AMAC Coaches Association and Abuja City Center Coaches Association which ended in 1-0 win. Dilichukwu who was amazed at the  gathering to celebrate her meritorious service and retirement, thanked the Coaches and women football players for the recognition handed to her after her retirement in service. In her words, "I am overwhelmed by the recognition and award given to me today. I never expected it. This is to tell you that I will always be part of this family. I pray that we live long and be together in happiness. I really thank everyone who contributed in making this happen." No word can describe how happy I am this evening and I pray that God make things easy for everyone of you for coming up with this. The Acting Director,  FCT Sports Department, Luca Istifanus who was also at the venue to celebrate Dilichikwu thanked his former boss for standing with him since he stepped into office in September, 2020. Chairman, FCT Coaches Association, Mr Godwin Bamigboye led the association to present the award to Dilichukwu at the Area 3 Sports complex. Having spent many years in service, Dilichukwu became Acting Director in 2018 and was later confirmed Director, FCT Sports Department same year. During her time, sports in FCT witnessed progress. She pressed for rewarding the athletes who represented FCT  and won medal at the National Youth Games and 2018 National Sports Festival. The Award Night organised for the medal winning athletes was held in 2018 and 2020.
