" On their road to final, FCT defeated Katsina state 3-0, drew 2-2 with Nasarawa in their two group B games. Having garnered four points in the group stage, FCT came second while Nasarawa topped the group. FCT moved to semi final to face Lagos. On Wednesday, three quick first half goals was enough for the Unity boys to overcome the Lagosians in a tension soaked semi final encounter at the training pitch national stadium Abuja. Lagos could only manage to score a consolation goal to end the semi final 3-1. Earlier on Friday, the losers final was played between Lagos and Nasarawa state. Nasarawa came from 2-0 down to drag the third place match to penalties. Nasarawa goalkeper, Shuaibu Iliya saved two penalties to put his side ahead and claimed the bronze medal. The match third place game ended 4-2.
