FCT FA Chairman, Abba Mouktar Bags Award From Baze University By Niyi Busari The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Football Association Chairman, Abba Muktar Mohammed has received an award of merit from Baze University. The award was presented to him on Wednesday December 1, 2021 by the University during their award night at the University Multipurpose Hall. The FCT FA Chairman, Abba Mouktar has been in the forefront of promoting football at the grassroots since his inception into the office, he has sponsored workshops for referees and coaches. He held the unarguably best FA League in the country where talents were discovered and some players who excelled in the first edition in 2019 are now plying their trade in Europe. In his response, Muktar expressed gratitude adding that the award will nudge him to further do more particularly in the grassroots development. "I am honoured and humbled along with other eminent and deserving personalities, to be conferred with this prestigious award by the University. "This also gives me the opportunity to urge Nigerian youth to engage more in sports so as to serve as a means of making money and help their family out of poverty. This will also reduce the high rate of crimes in the country."
