FCT FA Chairman, Musa Talle proud of Supreme Court FC despite Federation Cup exit

The FCT FA Chairman, Alhaji Musa Talle has showered encomium on Supreme Court players and officials for giving a good account of themselves despite their ouster at the ongoing 2018 Aiteo cup.
Talle thumbed up the performance of the team in the group stage of the 2018 Federation Cup despite not advancing from their group B centre in Kano.
Supreme court, a team playing in the lower division league played two draws against NPFL giants, Sunshine stars and Rangers international before narrowly lost 1-0 in the dying minute to El Kanemi warrios.
“It was a brilliant performance by the players because no one expected them to play the way they did especially against Sunshine stars and El Kanemi Warriors,” he told www.bsnsports.com.ng correspondent.
“They were able to hold their own against against bigger teams in FCT where they emerged champions."
Supreme court despite their slim budget against all odds emerged 2018 Federation cup champions in Abuja.
On their road to group stage round of 16, Supreme court defeated NNL side 3sc on penalties, in the round of 64.
NPFL side, Go round, was their next victim in the round of 32 as they went down also on penalties to pave way for the giant killer to sail through to the next round.
Henry Haggai, Supreme court coach, also praise the efforts of his boys attributing their excellent performance to youthfulness of the team as well as determination to succeed.
"We could have even won the games against Sunshine stars and El-Kanemi had they taken the few chances created. We have learned a lot from the experience in Kano and we hope to come back better next season.
“The group stage started well with the draw against Sunshine stars, followed by another draw against Elkanemi before we conceded a dying minute goal against Rangers of Enugu.
Haggai however lamented lack of funds to cater for the welfare of the players.
This is the first Supreme court will go this far in the Federation cup.
