CHIEF JUSTICE OF NIGERIA TO FATE 2018 FCT FA CUP KINGS By Admin The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Walter Nkanu Onnoghen will personally receive and fate the players and officials of Supreme Court FC, who made history on Sunday (May 27, 2018) by winning the 2018 FCT FA Cup. Most Valuable Player of the competition, Peter Mairobo scored in the 16th minute of the keenly contested final, as the Apex Court Boys, defeated the holders, FRSC Strikers 1-Nil, at the Area 3 Play Ground. Receiving the Cup, Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Hajia Hadizatu Uwani Mustapha Esq. gave thumbs-up to the players and officials for winning their first major trophy as a club. “I am very happy and in fact this monumental success is a product of team work; anchored by myself and the CJN, who by himself will receive you on a later date” Hajia Hadizatu urged the squad not to rest on their oars, saying the players and officials should direct the remainder of their energy towards winning more laurels for the Supreme Court and recording individual successes as well. She also assured the players in particular on the readiness of the Court to do more in motivating them, to replicate their winning mentality in their remaining league matches, so that they can seal promotion from the Nationwide Division One League to the National League. “Let me say here that football in Nigeria has as the day go by has assumed even a more important dimension. My appreciation goes to the supporters club and management staff who by way of advice helped in reshaping the fortunes of the club”. No date has yet been fixed for the reception to be accorded the new FCT FA Cup kings, but Team Manager of the Club, Garba Sudan, while addressing the triumphant players, assured them that it will not be long.
