FCT FA Elections: Electoral Committee To Conduct Screening on Friday

The FCT Football Association Electoral Committee will on Friday start screening for the 18 candidates vying for different positions in the FCT FA office, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Few weeks after 19 candidates purchased the election forms only 18 could returned the form back to the electoral committee and will face the screening on Friday and Saturday.
Three candidates will be vying for the nation's capital FA chairmanship position, two will slug it out for the position of 1st vice chairman as the same number of persons are eyeing the 2nd vice chairman position.
However, 11 people are interested in being the board members.
The Secretary, FCT FA Electoral Committee, Mr. Iyiola Ogundele while addressing journalist in Abuja noted that the committee will do their best to produce the best candidates for the elective positions.
He added that the committee will not spare anyone found wanting by not being able to defend the documents submitted, such candidate will be disqualified but can still appeal through the Appeal committee.
The screening of the contestants starts from 10am to 12 noon on Friday and continues on Saturday from 12noon to 2pm.
"We are going to deliver nothing short of the best and make sure that the best candidates emerge at the end of the polls, Iyiola told Basic Sports in Nigeria (BSN Sports).
We will not spare any candidate who is found wanting and such the person will be disqualified, he may however, appeal the disqualification."
