FCT FA Felicitates With Muslims On Eld-El-Kabir Celebration

The Federal Capital Territory Football Association, FCT FA, has felicitated with Nigerians and Muslims on the occasion of the 2020 Eld-El-Kabir celebration.

As the Association celebrates with Muslims across the country, its equally states that a good life does not come out of nowhere. It is created by humility, patience, sacrifice and prayers, urging Nigerians to hold on to these virtues in the interest of the nation.

This is contained in a statement which was made available to BSN Sports in Abuja on Thursday evening.

While wishing Nigerian Muslims safe and happy Eld-El-Kabir, the FCT FA Chairman, Muktar Mohammed urged them to celebrate the Eid-El Kabir in conformity with COVID-19 safety protocols.

According to the statement, FCT FA commends Nigerians for their cooperation with the government so far in the attempts being made to curtail the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, in spite of all the inconveniences and hardships.

“Our prayer is that those who are sick of the pandemic will recover very soon and those who lost their loved ones will be comforted by the Almighty Allah,” Muktar said.

He further prayed that may joy and love envelop Nigerians this season. May the warm moments of the season bring peace, fulfilment, happiness and cheer into Nigerians' life and make it brighter.

The Chairman urged Nigerians to be more patriotic to their fathers' land and shun any form of discrimination amongst one another while urging the federal government to put modalities in place for resumption of sports in Nigeria.

"We must be united for the good and progress of the country, and I appeal to the federal government to put modalities in place for sports to resume in Nigeria. He concluded.
