FCT FA Frowns At Flomat FC Alleged Violence In Lafia, Set Up Investigative Committee

FCT Football Association on Friday set up a committee headed by Board member and former Flying Eagles coach, Abimbola Samuel to investigate Flomat FC alleged beating of center referee in Lafia, Nasarawa state, BSNSports.com.ng can report..
The Abuja based team are in Lafia for their Nigeria Nationwide (NLO) Division 3 qualification having won the state league last season.
However, there was a report of violence and hooliganism from the match center during their second match against Maichibi FC of Plateau on Thursday when their goalkeeper was alleged to have hit the center referee from behind when the match official was walking towards the changing room after the match. The referee after he was hit fell down and was rushed to the hospital.
FCT FA frowned at the act of hooliganism and bringing the game to disrepute by its representative n Lafia, the Association has therefore set up a committee to investigate the matter.
The Association is a law abiding institution and believe in the process of seeking redress through laid down rules and regulations.
The Chairman of the Association, Mukhtar Muhammed thanked the Nasarawa Football Association, Nasarawa Referees Council and the NLO management for their understanding and cooperation on the issue.
The Association promises to get to the root of the matter and want to assure Nigerians that the matter will not be swept under the carpet.
