FCT FA League Enters 2nd Round As Hostilities Begin on Monday By Niyi Busari After completion of 49 matches that marked the end of the first phase of the 2018 FCT FA League, 174 goals were recorded and the battle for the second phase starts next Monday. From 25 registered teams only 12 clubs make it to the next round of the tournament which Kicks off on Monday between Flomat FC and Premier FC. The Acting Secretary General of the FCT Football Association, Haruna Usman Ilerika who spoke with journalists on Friday after the draw said the Abuja football fans will now see the best of football between the remaining best twelve teams in Abuja. He added that the twelve teams which was divided into four different groups with three teams in each group will have one team automatically qualify for the Super 4 which will be played on a round-robin and the eventual table topper becomes the champion of the 2018 FCT FA League. Flomat FC who came second and qualified from Group A with 7 points will on Monday slug it out with Premier FC who progressed to this stage as one of the two best losers by 2 pm at the popular Area 3 play ground. The second game will see FC Liberty Group D runners up locks horn with Fosla FC by 4 pm on Monday. On Tuesday Catholic Cadet FC will face Waco Academy 10 am while Thrift Echoes Vs Basic Maracana is slated for 12 pm.
