FCT To Participate In 4 Team Events At 2020 NSF North Central Playoff

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT will participate in four sporting activities at the 2020 National Sports Festival playoff for the North Central Zone.

The Director of Sports, FCT, Chief Dilichukwu Onyedinma confirmed this in an interview on Wednesday.

Speaking in an exclusive chat, the former Nigeria Women's Football League chairperson said that the decision to participate in four out of the available 8 team sports in the zonal elimination was do to officlas analyses of the Centre of Unity's streght and focus among the games.

A total of 8 team sports will be competed for at the playoff holding in Kwara State from 20-24 January, 2020.

Team FCT are defending champions in football, basketball and Beach Volleyball having won gold medals in these three team sports event at the 19th edition of the NSF held in Abuja in 2018.

The team also have strong base in handball. Team FCT will field both male and female teams in all the four competitions.

The contingent is expected to depart on Sunday or Monday for the five-day zonal elimination playoff holding in Ilorin, Kwara state.
