FCTA Announces Closure Of All Stadia in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Administration FCTA is leaving no stone unturned in its bid to curtail the spread of the coronavirus in the Territory.

To this end, the Acting Secretary Social Development Secretariat, (SDS) Mrs. Dilichukwu Onyendima has directed the temporary shutdown of all social activities in the FCT Sports Complex and Area 3 playing ground in Abuja.

The Acting Secretary of SDS said the decision to temporarily close the sporting facilities in Abuja was in line with the Hon Minister of FCT on steps taking for a safer Abuja.

Dilichukwu further said the mentioned facilities will not be available for the public till further notice. She appealed to Residents of Abuja and sportsmen and women to stay calm and safe by practicing good personal hygiene and keeping social distance.

The Sports Director noted that it has become very imperative for every one of us in the sports family to stay safe and observe all necessary measures put in place for a safer Abuja.

The Acting Secretary SDS assured Residents of Abuja that the Federal Capital Territory Administration and other relevant agencies are working round the clock to ensure the elimination of the COVID 19 not only in Abuja but the entire country.
