Federal Republic of Nigeria Vs Pinnick And 4 Others Appeal Case Adjourned To November 22 By Our Reporter A motion for appeal in the case brought forward by the Federal Republic of Nigeria against Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick and four other officials has been adjourned to November 22, 2021. This followed the unavailability of Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court Abuja at the first sitting on Monday. Interested parties, Harrison Jalla and Oyetunde Aderibigbe were represented at Monday's sitting at Court 6 of Federal High Court Abuja by Ibritam & Associates. However, BSN Sports gathered that Pinnick and the other NFF officials, namely Seyi Akinwunmi, Shehu Dikko, Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ and Mohammed Sanusi were not represented even though they have been officially served. The interested parties have said they are appealing a “dubious” ruling by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu on November 5, 2019, that purportedly discharged and acquitted Pinnick and the four other officials. The applicants subsequently dragged Justice Ojukwu to the National Judicial Council (NJC) after maintaining the ruling in favour of the officials in suit No FHC/ABJ/93/2019 was “dubious”. Legal experts have since argued that the ruling is not known to law and not in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
