FIBA 2019: Only The Best Players Will Represent Nigeria - Nwora By Sampson Adedeji The head coach of D'Tiger, Alex Nwora has stated that only the best players will represent Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Nwora reiterated that players will be selected based in their performances, he made this statement while speaking with the federation media team as the preparations for the upcoming FIBA World Cup continued. In his words: "You have to bring your best players to the World Cup. It is not a competition you attend with just any player,” Nwora told the media team of Nigeria Basketball Federation. “There will be a tryout. We have to go through our list, see each position and see who is going to be best for each position. There are so many young players in the US and the NBA that we want to integrate into the system", he added. Nigeria’s D’Tigers were drawn in Group B along with Russia, Argentina, and South Korea in the FIBA World Cup draw that held last Saturday.
