FIBA Pre World Cup friendly: D'Tigers edge Poland

Nigeria's senior men Basketball team D'Tigers continue their preparations for the fast approaching 2019 FIBA men's World Cup slated for China.

The Nigeria side struggled in the early part of the game which gave Poland the momentum to seize the control of the game lead into the half time 43 -27.

World cup bound D'Tigers returned for the third quarter as the better side and they were able to cut the Poland's lead to 2 points ( 75 -73).

Before the end of the 4th quarter, Nigeria were on level term with Poland and took the game to over time before edging Poland 81 -75.

The trio of Jordan Nwora, Ben Uzoh and Al Farouq Aminu were the Nigeria leading scorer.

The victory ensured Nigeria moved into the Gold match tomorrow and face the winner between Montenegro and Iran.
