FIBA U16: Junior Tiger suffers defeat

Nigeria's Junior Tiger was brought down to earth on Saturday at the ongoing FIBA Africa U16 in Cape Verde as they lost their opening match by 9 points deficit to Egypt, BSNSports.com.ng reports .
It was Egypt who outsmarted Nigeria with a 86-77 victory.
8 of the 10 selected players were drawn from the 2019 Nestle Milo secondary school competition while 2 others were carefully selected from basketball academies by head coach, Fubara Onyenabo.
Farouq Isah (23), Reuben Chinyelu (20), Bormini Dennis (18) and Ebuka Okpara (11) finished with double digit points.
They will play host Cape Verde on Sunday in their second match. The Junior Tigers will however, have to put the defeat behind them and ficus on today's second game against hosts Cape Verde as they search for the first win in the tournament.
