FIBA Women; Nigeria Among Countries Bidding To Host 2021 Edition

  By Sampson Adedeji Ahead of the 2021 Women Afrobasketball competition, Nigeria has been confirmed among the countries bidding to stage the event, BSNSports.com.ng reports Senegal staged the last edition and Nigeria emerged champion beating host in the final played in Dakar. According to FIBA Africa four countries has signified their interest to host the event : Nigeria, Cameroon, Egypt and Coted'ivoire. Nigeria have won back-to-back continental titles and are unbeaten in Africa in the past four years. Senegal, who are the 12-time record champions, are rebuilding while Mali and Mozambique are closing the gap on the 2019 finalists. The competition promised to be exciting and it has been fixed for September 17th to 26th, 2021.
