FIBA World Cup: D'Tigers Defeat South Korea

The Nigerian men’s basketball team, D’Tigers early on Wednesday showed that a hungry tiger is not one to dare.


After getting bruised by Russia and Argentina on Saturday and Monday respectively in the FIBA World Cup going on in China, D’Tigers regained their esteem after beating Korea by a massive margin of 108-66 at the Wuhan Sports Center.


D’Tigers, just like the hungry tigers went into serious business right from the first quarter, winning narrowly by 17-15. They tore away in the second quarter where the gap widened, winning 32-18.


The Nigerian team also won the third quarter by 30-19 and to complete the rout and to win all the segments of the match, the Nigerian side won the fought quarter by 29-18 to get an aggregate score line of 108-66.
