Puerto Rico victory over Tunisia in their last group match of the ongoing 2019 FIBA World Cup has handed Nigeria's D'Tigers Tokyo 2020 Olympic games ticket, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

BSN reports that D'Tigers who crashed out of the medal zone of the ongoing FIBA men's World Cup in China, had earlier defeated South Korea 108-66.

Tunisia won their last game and need to beat Puerto Rico in order to progress to next round and also become best place African team.

But it was Puerto Rico that emerged victorious in a tension soaked match that has to be decided with just 3 points gap.

Puerto Rico beat Tunisia 67-64 and dashed the hope of Tunisa progressing and also handed D'Tigers the Olympic ticket lifeline.

Having moved ahead of Tunisia with point difference, D'Tigers will face Cote d'Ivoire and the winner between Venezuela and China to determine who pick the Olympic ticket.
