FIBA World Cup Qualifier: D'Tigers Top Group A Going Into Second Window By Niyi Busari Nigeria's D'Tigers topped group A with five points ahead of Mali who also garnered 5 points in the First Round of the 2023 FIBA Africa World Cup Qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng can report. D'Tigers rose to the top of the table following the head-to-head rule that favoured the 2015 African champions after beating Mali with a slim win (72-70). Meanwhile, in February 2022, group B and D will play their First Round of the 2023 FIBA Africa World Cup Qualifiers. However, group A and C which include Nigeria, Mali, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Angola, Central African Republic, Guinea and Uganda will be action in June for the Second Round of the qualifiers. Nigeria will however will look forward to maintain the top position in the second round to progress to the next round.
