FIBA World Cup Qualifiers: D'Tigers To Face Cote d'Ivoire, Angola, Three Others In Second Round By Niyi Busari Group A table topper in the just-concluded Firs round of FIBA African World Cup Qualifiers, D'Tigers, will face Cote d'Ivoire, Angola, Guinea, Mali and Cape Verde in the Second Round of 2023 World Cup Qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng can reveal. The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification for the FIBA Africa region, which began in November 2021 will be concluded in February 2023. The process will determine the five African teams that will participate at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. The twelve qualified teams from First Round will be divided into two groups (six teams in each group) and play the other three teams from the other group twice. Group A will be paired with Group C and Group B with Group D. Nigeria top group A with 5 points, Mali came second with same points (5) and Cape Verde (4) will be in same group with Cote d'Ivoire who topped group C with 6 points, Angola (5 points) and Guinea (4 points) to slug it out for the World Cup Qualifiers tickets to be played in February 2022.
